Mothers of Preschoolers are MOPS! The goal of MOPS is to nurture all Mothers of Preschoolers, as well as reach out with encouragement, friendship and effective leadership opportunities.

Our meetings typically fall on the first and third Thursdays of each month from 9:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. at the North Shore Community Baptist Church in Beverly Farms.

We begin our meetings with a welcoming, followed by a teaching from a MOPS mentor, a MOPS mom or a guest speaker. The MOPS mentor plays an important role as a seasoned mother who has already experienced the joys and challenges of raising preschoolers. She will provide teaching from a Christian perspective with practical and personal applications for moms. Guest speakers will present various topics related to parenting, family, community or women’s issues. Small group discussion follows to further explore the topic and to help foster relationships with other MOPS moms. Finally, we participate in an adult activity – imagine a period of uninterrupted creative time (that won’t involve crayons)!

Children ages 0-5 enjoy their own program called Moppets in which they hear a Bible story, make a craft, have snacks and enjoy playtime with their friends. Women & children register by semester (moms may only bring their own children to meetings).

If you have questions you may contact Trisha Curtis at 978-867-4918 or Lissa Whitley at 978-969-2167

This MOPS group is a joint outreach of North Shore Community Baptist Church and the First Congregational Church of Hamilton.
